The only newspaper for scientists in Lithuania issued twice a month since 1989. An issue consists of 16 pages.

The published material deals with research and educational institutions, their activity, improvement and research reforms of these activities, laboratories and researchers and their undertakings. Information on doctoral studies, theses, competitions for vacancies, reports on conferences, symposia, seminars is constantly provided. The publication is open to comments and opinions from its readers.

Its supplement "Langas" provides comprehensive information on particular research or on an educational institution or a significant event.

Since 1998, an electronic version of the publication is available.

"Mokslo Lietuva" is sponsored by the Media Support Foundation, Lithuania.
