LSS Department Cardiology

Main directions of activities carried out by members of the Department:

  • investigation of mechanisms and ways of regulating the physiological functions of the heart and blood-vessels system;
  • investigation of health status of the population in Lithuania, social environment risk factor, increasing occurrence of blood-vessel diseases and subsequent mortality, basis for prophylaxis; arrangement of prophylaxis;
  • diagnostic, treatment and rehabilitation programmes and estimation of their efficiency.
